Time and School
Its been a long time since I’ve talked only because school requires time, and the time I have isn’t very much. Some reasons why I haven’t been able to blog are listed below.
- Marching Band Practice/Competition
- Football Games
- Advanced Classes and their loathing homework
- School
- District Music
- School Projects
The benefits of all of these are what I find important
Practicing marching every morning and every evening pays off as we made it to UIL Area Marching Contest after receiving all 1’s from the judges when we went to UIL Region Marching Contest. While we did not make it to UIL Sate Marching Contest we were only 3 places away from making it (there were 28 bands and we came in 13th. UIL allows 10 bands to go to finals on the same day of the UIL Area Marching Contest, where in the finals only 5 bands are allowed to go on from there and into UIL State Marching Contest.)
School projects are what I hate the most, and quite opposite for my teachers. Recently I had a English project over “Of Mice and Men.” It involved making a Dialectial Journal over the book. Since I work better under pressure I decided to put it off until the night before…big mistake. After staying up all-night working on it, I arrived at school the next morning ready to puke from the work. To make matters worse, we also had a football game to go to that day. Isnt school fun? :- Today is Sunday and is s’posed to be my relaxation day, but since Marching Contests and school projects eat up my time, it seems to look like today will be spent doing homework. High School sucks.
