I took last week and all I can say is that my History and Science skills are good, but not the best ( Which I can blame on my school for sucking so badly ). Evidently this year, the state of Texas changed the requirement of Sophomore students so that we had to take all of the tests required by the state when we are in our Junior year. I’m just glad that we took the Reading/Writing TAKS about a month before we took the rest of the tests! Dunno if others out of school know this, but once the students have taken the test, they are not allowed to tell any of the staff information about the questions on the test; if teachers ask the students about the test they are only allowed to ask the students if it was hard or if they were prepared to take it from what the teacher had taught them that year, if they ask about questions on it or what the students beleive the teacher should work on next year then the teacher can get fired. Glad to hear from some students that some teacher asked them some questions about the test that they shouldn’t have, makes me feel very assured with the staff at our school.
